Weak Economy Effects Ticket Sales For UFC 91

Surprisingly, what Mixed Martial Arts fans would expect to be the biggest money making event in history, may fall short in ticket sales. Like everything else that has been susceptible to the weakened state of our economy, it can be attributed to that too. Also, this particular event is priced a bit higher than average. On the other hand, if there was any event that fans would suck up the cost for, one would think it would be to see "The Natural," Randy Couture Vs. the former WWE Champion, Brock Lesnar. Couture is one of the most accomplished and recognized figures in the sport. Lesnar, with his tremendous size and power, poses a serious threat to the popular Heavyweight Champion. An event like this markets and sells itself. However, Dana White was expecting to break the UFC gate record of 5.4 million. Unfortunately, they have only done 3 million so far. As the fight which is scheduled for November 15th comes closer, they may have to reduce prices on some of the premium seats that are still available.
